Compass Comic Con was founded on the idea of immersing yourself in your favorite fandoms! Come cosplay with us.

Craftsmanship: Your costume must be at least 50% hand-crafted or modified. You will be judged on the techniques and processes used to create your costume, as well as your explanation of the processes. Plan to have reference photos or sketches of the character you are representing. You will be scheduled for a 5-10 minute interview in late morning or early afternoon. A build book is optional. Your cosplay will be judged on your techniques, neatness and finishing, detail, creativity, and how well you explain your process. First, Second, and Third prizes will be awarded.

Performance: Contestants will be given a maximum of 2 minutes to perform in character on stage. The contestants will be judged on stage presence, characterization, and audience engagement. You can perform a dance, skit, or other talent in costume. Pre-registration is required and if you are performing with a soundtrack, it must be uploaded ahead of time. First, Second, and Third prizes will be awarded.

Walk-on: You will pose on stage in character and be asked a question about your character or costume at the microphone. You can write a short announcement about your character. Your costume can be handmade or bought. This contest is for fun and to celebrate the cosplay community! Judge’s Choice prizes will be awarded.
